I can still taste the sweat burn on my lips.

I chased a lost soul to the depths of my own demise.

I watch a man be beaten to death on the side of the road.

I ran to catch them.

I am not a statistic.

I wanted to stop them.

I watched is demons were crushing his skull with their feet.

I can still taste the sweat burn on my lips.

I prevented a homicide.

I put my own life in danger.

The words, "You're Dead", Have never been spoken to me so clearly.

I will never show my face if I ID a man for comiting a homicide.

I will always watch the shadows approach me with dismay.

I am scared to talk.

I am scared to sleep.

I died.

I am going to stand before a judge.

I am not going to be afraid.

I am terrified.

I am in danger.

Today isn't even the worst day this week.

I love my life.
